Today we will learn how to install a 3-phase distribution board on the wall

Many people do this work in many ways. But today we will fix it on the wall’s upper part, i.e., surface mounted.

all the materials and tools we will need to do this work

First, we need a measuring tape, we need to measure the size of the box, mark the wall, and measure the support channel.

A permanent marker will be needed to mark the db box support channels and walls

A hammer drill machine is needed to drill holes in the wall. Also, you will need a drill bit depending on the size, we will use 8mm nut bolts here, and 8mm will require 10mm Rotary Hammer Drill Bits

A hacksaw frame with a blade or a grinding machine with a cutting disc is required for cutting the support channel

Spirit Levell will be required

A spirit-level instrument is designed to indicate whether a surface is horizontal (level) or vertical (plumb).

A socket wrench is needed to fix the nut bolt, number 13 for 8mm

with basic tools like a hammer, screwdriver, centre punch

As per the distribution board requirement, here we will install a 10-way db.

Support channels will be needed, many people know support channels as c channel or u channels.

8mm Wall Anchor Bolt will be required to fix the support channel to the wall.

Spring bolts will be required to fix the distribution board to the support channel

Also, need 8mm bolts and washers to fix DB

Now we will start working. 

Step 1 Remove the front cover from the distribution board

Step 2 Measurement of distribution board height and width.

We will take a 10-way board its dimensions are 60mm height x 40mm width.

Step 3. Now We Will Mark The Wall For Drilling.

We Have To Remember That The Height Of The Box Top Should Not Be More Than 180cm To 

220cm From The Floor Level

Place the DB box on the wall and mark the wall

Horizontal and vertical level alignment should be fixed with spirit level

The Support Channel Should Be Placed On The Wall And Marked Again

The previously marked location should be adjusted

Now Permanently Fix The Support Channel And Spring Nut

Finally, we will fix the DB
